Saarde's Toulin Candle Holders are handmade by artisans using traditional woodturning techniques and repurposed mango wood. A metal plate with a pin at the top of each allows for use with both pillar and tapered candles.
You can expect to find variations in shape, wood grain, colour, and surface. You may find little divots here and there or small cracks in the timber. The seams are often visible beneath the paint on the black candle holders. Imperfections are to be expected and that's what we love about them!

Sustainability
Repurposed Mango Wood is from mango trees past their best fruit-bearing years. After 20-30 years the mature trees need to be replaced with saplings. Previously this meant burning the old trees. Now the wood is given a new lease of life, lessening carbon emissions and creating a sustainable resource.
